John and Julianna Crowder, owners Capitol Area Practical Shooting, are NRA Certified instructors and licensed with TX DPS as Texas Concealed Handgun License Instructors. We offer a fresh and uplifting approach to the required courses, and promise that you will not have a drab or boring class experience!
We offer classes on a regular schedule in Cedar Park and Liberty Hill. We are also available to travel to any location in the state of Texas that you would like to invite us too! Weekday and evening classes are offered periodically or by request. Private classes for groups, organizations, or individuals can be add to the calendar by contacting us for more information.

Our PhilosophyThere is a set of core rules that all gun owners must know to be considered safe and responsible. We embrace the courses offered by the NRA as our foundation for education, and have expanded on that foundation a curriculum of practical and tactical techniques for self defense as it applies to concealed carry and self defense. We offer classes for Pistol, Rifle and Shotgun and specialize in beginner to intermediate shooters.
